We are a couple of friends who have signed ourselves up to this years Mongol Rally. The Mongol Rally starts in England and ends in Ulan Ude (across the Russian border from the previous finish in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia). It's some 10,000 miles - 16,000 km - or a third of the earth's surface. Which is lots. Dirt tracks, wild deserts and mountains conquered in a 1 litre abomination in the name of charity.
